You may not realize it, but abiotic factors help out biotic factors all the time. In the image above, there are three examples of abiotic factors assisting biotic factors. The first one is the grass with the soil. The soil gives the grass nutrients that help the grass grow. The dirt also contains worms living in it, and their waist is also used to give nutrients to the grass. Sunlight gives trees energy, which they use for photosynthesis. Lastly, the trees and the air. The air contains nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Nitrogen is used to synthesize proteins and the carbon dioxide contains carbon-containing sugar, which the trees and other plants use in photosynthesis.
